Jason Lauve is a multidisciplinary professional working at the intersection of animation, scientific visualization, environmental systems, and regenerative agriculture. His work and research focus on soil health, indigenous food and medicinal practices—particularly Maya Milpa systems—and the relationship between living ecosystems and human wellbeing. After a severe spinal injury that left him in a wheelchair for over a decade, Jason’s personal healing journey led him to study microbial soil life, systems theory, and alternative scientific models emphasizing regeneration, synergy, and self-healing. Influenced by thinkers such as Antoine Béchamp, Ilya Prigogine and Dr. Robert Melamede, he challenges conventional allopathic medicine and industrial agriculture, arguing that living systems—especially soil ecology and the endocannabinoid system—are foundational to health. He has since regained mobility and collaborates with researchers and communities on regenerative and remediation initiatives.
Raised in New York City and spending nine formative years on a farm in upstate New York, Jason developed early, hands-on experience in agriculture, sustainability, and land stewardship. Professionally trained in architecture, urban planning, environmental design, computer programming, and 3D animation education, he brings a systems-based, multidisciplinary approach to community leadership and policy work.
Jason is widely recognized as a pioneering figure in U.S. industrial hemp development. After successfully defending his human rights in a 2009 cannabis indictment, he co-authored Colorado’s first successful hemp legislation in 2012 and later authored a key document that helped shift federal policy following the seizure of industrial hemp seed imports from Canada. He has since contributed to hemp and cannabis legislation, remediation projects, and policy initiatives across multiple U.S. states and internationally, including Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and North Carolina. Holding Mexican Supreme Court human rights protections, Jason continues to travel globally, speaking with farmers and communities about regenerative cultivation, Milpa systems, and the role of living systems in ecological and human health.

His presentations have been on Hemp for Post-Wildfire Remediation, processing of hemp at the Southern Tier Hemp Summit which featured leaders from across the country to help educate, network, and plan the future of industrial hemp in New York, the Associated Governments of Northwest Colorado Economic Summit in Colorado, and in Puerto Rico addressing politicians about the contamination in Vieques, in Costa Rica for CannaCosta on Hemp and Cannabis, a Hemp Remediation project for a brownfield weapons site contaminated from old military use.
